The Crown Syndicate is a hard-hitting rock band hailing from Tucson. Formed in 2000, the band comprises Rey Vasquez (guitar/vocals), Toby Plowden (lead vocals), Jeff Masterson (bass/vocals), and Antonio Vasquez) . Their sound is a fusion of classic rock influences aThnd modern metal, drawing inspiration from legends like Pink Floyd, The Doors, Black Sabbath, and Kiss .
Music Releases
The Crown Syndicate's first release, NOVELLA, was a concept of songs from a toxic relationship. It showcased the rage, sadness, and chaos that love can sometimes manifest itself in two people that have no business being in love.
The band's next release, FETISH, was collection of songs that brought back the glam era of Rock. Diverse. Warm. And so much fun. It sounds like listening to it on your 8 track player in a Trans Am parked in your high school parking lot!
“The Crown Syndicate” EP (2023): A five-track release featuring songs like “NO SYMPATHY”, “LOVE WRONG,” and “MACHINE,” showcasing their signature blend of hard rock, heavy metal, and Funk
“HONEST” (2024): Their latest single continues to deliver electrifying rock anthems, solidifying their place in the modern rock scene .
The band is currently writing their next album and hoping for an early 2026 release.

Lead Singer
Despite an early love for music, I, lead singer/lyricist for the Crown Syndicate, didn't start singing until my mid-20s because in my words, " it never really occurred to me to try until then... " After two years with a cover band, I joined Rey and Jeff to form Little Kings. While part of Little Kings, I developed my lyric writing style and started working on harmonies. It wasn't until we formed The Crown Syndicate with drummer, Antonio that I really let loose and embraced my narrative-driven lyrics and complex harmonies. I take inspiration from artists such as Scott Weiland, Robert Palmer, and Koko Taylor for varying tones, unique phrasing and powerful vocals.
Since I have no proper musical training. I just write by instinct. I tend to create melodies and harmonies that sound good in my head and I just experiment in my home studio. It's a really fun way to make music.

Bass Guitarist
I started playing bass at 13. Over the years i've played across the US & Canada, Japan, Mexico, Turkey, Russia and Romania. I toured with A Flock of Seagulls and with Texas Bluesman Long John Hunter. Influences include, Bowie, Talking Heads, Deep Purple, The Pixies, The Cure & Johnny Cash.
Tonio Vasquez
Drummer
I got my first drum at age 4. I started playing since than. I took lessons at age 7 - 10 years old. From then I started learning on my own and found the love of music. I played my favorite songs and now have learned over 1,000 of a wide variety of genres. I started playing in The Crown Syndicate in 2021. Since then, I have learned how to make music from the ground up. I have learned to engineer, produce, mix, master, & how to be a recording artist.
